Lorraine Grillo

Appointed CEO of Bradford in 2024, where she drives inclusive development and expands opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses.  Lorraine was the longtime leader of the NYC School Construction Authority (NYCSCA).  Appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2010, she delivered over 75,000 new school seats and managed billions of dollars in capital projects. In 2018, while still serving as the NYCSCA’s President, then Mayor DeBlasio appointed her to also serve as Commissioner of the Department of Design and Construction.  Appointed as Recovery Czar in 2021 she led the city’s Covid recovery efforts.  And, under Mayor Adams, she served as the city’s First Deputy Mayor for the first year of the administration.

Lorraine’s true legacy lies not in what she builds, but in the people she inspires.  Known for cultivating collaboration and mentorship, her leadership continues to shape strong teams long after a project is complete. At Bradford Construction she blends vision, experience, and passion, driving both the firm’s growth and the future of urban development.
