In the break from the summer heat the BRAVO supported and attended the Police Athletic League Business Luncheon in midtown. The guest speaker was NYC Comptroller, Mark Levine, who was welcomed by the inimitable John Catsimatidis, Mark Simone, and former Governor David Paterson, BRAVO Group Board of Advisor.
In his introduction the former Governor shared how he would always hear about Mark Levine in the best ways. ‘Whenever there was a problem he’d be there. No one who cares more than Mark Levine.’
The Comptroller gave it to us straight – and in no less than 3 languages – praising PAL for the vital good it does in fostering a positive relationship between the public and the police.
Though, as New Yorkers, we have had some significant challenges over the years, ‘the city has been going for 400 years, 250 as part of the USA.’ He reminded us that though New York City had been counted out with every challenge, it always rises back better. ‘It’s the best city ever.’
