This program is designed to provide specialized training and educational support for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) graduate mentor contractors each year. Serving general contractors as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing firms, the program offers comprehensive business assessments tailored to each participant, helping them identify and address their unique challenges.
Participants engage in in-person classes, workshops, and individualized counseling sessions led by Bradford’s expert team and subject matter specialists. The program equips MWBE contractors with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively bid for and secure construction contracts across New York State and New York City.
Training topics include construction scheduling and project management, public policy, advanced construction cost estimating, safety management, financial management, construction legal principles, project labor agreements (PLAs), and other union-related matters. By providing practical guidance and targeted support, the program empowers MWBE contractors to construct, operate, and grow their businesses successfully, advancing their professional capabilities to the next level.
