Velocity has supported the New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) for many years through their Capital Task Force (CTF) Program, which delivers school-specific capital improvements and specialized room conversion renovations. Each project involves transforming existing spaces to support tailored educational environments, with layouts and equipment selected to meet the needs of individual schools and their end users.

As part of this program, Velocity develops multiple furniture and equipment layouts for review by the SCA, project stakeholders, and end users. To date, we have completed more than 125 CTF renovations, specializing in conversions such as Hydroponic Labs, Recording Studios, Dance Studios, EMT and Nursing Classrooms, Technology and Computer Labs, Sensory Gyms, Yoga and Aerobics Rooms, Special Education Classrooms, STEM Labs, Art Classrooms, Activities for Daily Living Rooms, and Media Rooms.
