Originally constructed in the early 2000s, the Manhattan University Founders Bridge serves as a key pedestrian connection between the front entrance of O’Malley Library and the main campus Quad. Over time, the bridge exhibited structural deterioration, including concrete spalling, cracking, and corrosion of reinforcing steel.

Velocity was engaged to develop design documents for the bridge’s repair and rehabilitation. The scope included structural concrete restoration, installation of a new waterproofing membrane, and redesign of the paver system. The updated paver layout addressed functional requirements while visually harmonizing with adjacent walkways, reinforcing a cohesive and unified campus circulation network. Associated electrical work was also included to ensure safe and reliable operation.
